AMBER TRAINING SERVICES
The HSA, SSSTS and SMSTS courses at Amber Training has been custom designed to deal with health hazards in the construction and civil engineering industry. The course adopts a holistic approach towards health and safety awareness and focusses on health, safety, welfare and environmental issues. To further add to its value, the course provides training on the legal dimension of health and safety ecosystem. Due to its enriching and practical pedagogy, the course is endorsed by CITB as the standard training for all supervisors working on UK construction and civil engineering sites.
This one day course will give you an in-depth understanding of:
• The need to prevent accidents
• Laws and policies relating to health and safety
• How your role fits into the control and management of the site
• Risk assessments and method statements
• How to adopt safety standards in your work
• How to report unsafe procedures and practices to prevent an accident
At the end of the course, you will be evaluated through an examination containing 25 multiple choice questions of 1 mark each. The minimum passing score is 20 out of 25 including all required Safety Critical (SC) Questions.
Certification for this course is valid up to 5 years. To remain certified in this area, you will need to retake the course before the expiry date.
